It is recommended that the product is cleaned before using for the first time. This can be done by washing it by hand or in a dishwasher. If desired, the product can also be boiled to sterilize it completely. It is then recommended to boil it in boiling water for about 1-2 minutes. This can also be done at regular intervals to ensure cleanliness.
A good way to get the straws clean is to boil them, as otherwise it can be tricky to get such thin products clean on the inside.
